“I have had the pleasure of working with Jon Richardson since 2016, when he was hired as the Media Producer for the Marketing department at the Portland Art Museum. Jon was a valuable member of our team. He brought many skills to the role, and expanded his abilities as needed. For example, when the Museum lost a design position, Jon took on a second role to help with the workload. Additionally, during this time, he created and developed the Museum’s podcast to help amplify the stories of artists, community partners, and Museum members. He managed his demanding schedule while working directly with multiple departments throughout the Museum. He was a one-stop shop, creating deliverables on time from his capturing, editing, designing, and writing. His ability to collaborate and troubleshoot challenges to accommodate the demands of our constantly changing programs and events was invaluable. As he changed roles and brought his skills to the Museum’s PAM CUT, he became the key point person for collaboration. He willingly took on whatever was needed for the team in this new position. Jon’s creativity and energy helped define this new role, and he will be a valuable member of any team he joins.I highly recommend Jon for any position. He is a talented and dedicated professional who will make a significant contribution to any organization.”
“Jon is a dedicated and hardworking individual who demonstrated a wide range of skills in media, video and design. He was also a team player, taking on a range of roles and responsibilities dependent upon the needs of the Museum and in fulfillment of our mission. This was especially evident during the pandemic where he did whatever was necessary to help the Museum remain solvent and relevant. Some of Jon’s highlighted work product include: a collaboration with artist Luzene Hill on her video piece included in the exhibition Connecting Lines; a commemorative video for the Museum’s 125th anniversary; a video of 8 artists for an in-gallery interpretation; and a number of celebratory and commemorative videos for donors and trustees for special occasions and our annual meetings. Additionally, Jon conceived of and produced an award-winning podcast for the Museum titled Art Unbound, which, along with produced content for the Museum’s YouTube account, resulted in thousands of new subscribers. Overall, Jon’s exceptional work for the Museum helped immensely during perhaps one of our most challenging moments in our 130-year history, when we were required to close or limit physical access to the galleries and art. Jon’s expertise and hard work created the much needed online bridge to our audiences.Jon Richardon is a highly skilled and creative individual, who was unwavering in his support of our Museum. His work ethic was exceptional and he was a true collaborator, working with his colleagues and the community to create meaningful content.”
“Jon Richardson is a smart, creative team player who takes pride in everything he does. I wish every project I worked on came with Jon Richardson.”
“Jon’s work ethos is second to none. He is super smart and self starting, needing very little if no direction. He is a good team leader and someone who I’d hire back to any of my TV shows in a heartbeat.”
